Flowers loved by all sorts of pollinators.

All around awesome wild-life shrub.

Berries loved by birds. Also, bland but apt for human consumption.

Leaves rubbed on one's skin make for the best mosquito repellent.

Literally care free, drought tolerant, heat tolerant, cold tolerant.

So there you go. Plant you one.

Never heard of that one, but sounds great.

Mr. H--The flowers are not too showy alone, but when en masse they look quite pretty. I just did some fact digging and Callicarpa Americana is cold hardy to USDA Zone 6a: to -23.3 °C (-10 °F)...so if you'd like me to hunt for seedlings next time they fruit I can do that.

Heiko--HA! You may have wild mushrooms, sparagus and some of my other fave foods growing all around you but I have *this* lil' plant! HA! HA! & HA! (really, the ha's are for me because this berry tastes like doodoo:)
