LADY BUG LIFE CYCLE as it happens in our aphid infested loquat trees

Lady bugs eggs (the orange ones).  The dot looking things are the aphids, usually you'll see them where ants are about as they love to eat the aphids sweet waste.  It is a mobster-style relationship...I think.  This morning the ants were still sleeping when I took these shots. Normally, I'd wash off the aphids with a strong water shower (the aphids won't go back up on the leaves) but this time I didn't since the lady bugs are taking care of the problem.

Above: lady bug  larva...someone described them as looking like little alligators, I think they are right!
